Delores Hunt

Delores E. Hunt, 82, of Crab Orchard, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025 at her home. She was born on May 30, 1942 rural Adams to Willm and Clara Parde. On February 8, 1963 she married Ramon Hunt at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. Delores was a typical farm wife helping wherever she could and she also cooked at the Lewiston school for many years. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Filley and liked going to Branson and Minnesota with Ramon. She enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, quilting, and embroidering.
Survivors include her children, Sherri (Wayne) Rees of Liberty, Rhonda (Steve) Epp of Blue Springs, and Rodney (Lisa) Hunt of Filley; grandchildren, Holden and Ashley Rees, Sydney and Tom Blount, Delaney and Mitch Roberts, Dillon Epp and friend, Kaddee, Jared Epp, Tucker Epp, Tami and Anthony Schnuelle, Ethan Hunt, Jace Hunt and Ryan Hunt; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Marles (Duane) Theasmeyer of Crete, Verla (Ronald) Busboom of Cortland, Norma (Rolland) Trauernicht of Windsor, CO, LeAnna (Lyle) Jurgens, Janet (Kenneth) Schuster, and LaVonna (Danny) Moslander all of Pickrell; sisters-in-law, Carol Buzzard of Burchard and Pauline (John) Malone of Omaha; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ramon, who died on December 14, 2021; son, Robert; daughter, Karen; parents, Willm and Clara Parde; brother, LeRoy; parents-in-law, Paul and Golda Hunt; brother-in-law, Dale Buzzard.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the American Lutheran Church of Filley with Pastor Gary Grinvalds officiating. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday at the church. Inurnment of the cremains will be at the Crab Orchard Cemetery. Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing. A book for signatures will be available on Friday from noon until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family’s choice for future designation. Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Beatrice.
