Gage County Officers arrest suspect on warrant, drug allegations
BEATRICE – Gage County law officers searching for a suspect on a Jefferson County warrant, arrested two people for alleged drug violations. The day after Christmas, deputies went to a Wymore home along West “F” Street at 7:10 a.m. looking for a man who had a felony warrant for his arrest.
The man identified as Sayge Peters was contacted by law officers and placed in custody. While at the home, deputies observed items relating to the use of methamphetamine…in plain view around a bedroom.
Authorities during a further search seized eleven baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, weighing about 16 grams. They also recovered other new baggies, new and used syringes and pipes, pills described as controlled substances…and a knife with a blade of six-and-a-quarter inches long.
Both Sayge and Tara Peters were arrested on drug-related counts and Sayge Peters was also arrested for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
