Belva Jean (Allerheiligen) Thompson

Belva Jean (Allerheiligen) Thompson, 88 years of age, of Beatrice passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Whispering Winds Cottage in Beatrice. She was born on March 31, 1936 in Diller to Otto and Ethel (Roseman) Allerheiligen. Belva graduated from Fairbury High School in 1954. She married Charles Wiens on August 8, 1954 and to this union three daughters were born: Marlene, Connie and Lori. They later divorced. Belva was a stay-at-home mom for many years before going to beautician school. She owned and operated Belva’s Hair Port on West Court street for many years. Belva worked as a dispatcher at Beatrice Police Department for 8 years and then as a breakfast hostess at Holiday Inn Express until retiring in 2006. She was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Beatrice. Belva enjoyed baking cookies, dancing, embroidering, crafts and walking all over town. The family would like to wish a special thank you to the staff at Whispering Winds for their love, devotion and care that they showed Belva during the year of her residence there.
Belva is survived by her daughters, Marlene Penner and husband Dick of Beatrice, Connie Winebarger and husband Scott of Ronda, North Carolina, Lori Grabouski and husband Mike of Beatrice; grandchildren, Brandon Vetrovsky and wife Shannon, Dustin Vetrovsky, Dylan Madron, Niki Schmidt and significant other Kyle Behrens; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Marla Weichel of Diller; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Keith Anderson in 1998, Bob Thompson in 2017; brother, Bill Allerheiligen; brother-in-law, Jim Weichel; and nephew, Corwin Weichel.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, December 23, 2024 at West Side Baptist Church in Beatrice with Jon Palmquist officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 AM on Monday in the church basement. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 1 to 8 PM with family greeting friends from 4 to 6 PM.
