Doane sophomore Matthew Terrence was the GPAC Men's Wrestler of the Week for the week of November 26-December 1, the conference announced this week.

Matthew Terrence, Doane University – 133lb Weight Class

Doane University wrestler Matthew Terrence is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week.  Terrence, a sophomore from Clovis, California, posted two shutouts in two wins at the GPAC Duals. He opened by winning with a tech fall victory over Northwestern's Logan Schroeder, 18-0, as the match stopped with the conclusion of the first period. In his second match, Terrence held another 18-0 lead before finishing the match with a pin in defeating Evan Fuchs of Briar Cliff. Doane went 2-0 in the GPAC Duals and posted the only team shutout in a 47-0 win over Northwestern.

One of the top wrestling programs in the NAIA, Doane is off to a strong start once again here in 2024. Up next, Terrence and the Tigers will compete at home in Doane's Conner/Oppenheim Open this Saturday in Crete.
