Doane's Beauperthuy, Rodriguez named GPAC Wrestlers of the Week
Doane wrestlers Tyson Beauperthuy and Cristelle Rodriguez were named the GPAC Men's and Women's Wrestler of the Week, respectively, for the week of November 11-17, the conference announced this week.

MEN
Tyson Beauperthuy, Doane University – 184lb Weight Class
Doane University wrestler Tyson Beauperthuy is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Beauperthuy, a junior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, put on a dominant display at the Embry-Riddle Mile High Open in Arizona over the weekend. In winning the tournament with a 4-0 mark, he recorded two wins by tech fall and two by pin. Both pins came over nationally ranked NCWA wrestlers. Beauperthuy improved to 9-0 on the season with the GPAC Dual coming up next for Doane on November 26.
WOMEN
Cristelle Rodriguez, Doane University – 124lb Weight Class
Doane University wrestler Cristelle Rodriguez is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Wrestler-of-the-Week. Rodriguez, a junior from Clovis, California, made her season debut and made quick work of her competition at the Embry-Riddle Mile High Open. She was unscored upon in four matches, needing only 3:01 of mat time to pick up the four victories. She ran her collegiate win-streak to 29 consecutive wins and currently stands at 55 career wins.

These two athletes are both household names in the sport of collegiate wrestling, both in the NAIA and beyond. They both shared their stories on Ol' Red during an interview at halftime of the Doane football game against Northwestern this year following excellent performances this summer, where both Rodriguez and Beauperthuy won medals competing on the international stage in their respective disciplines.
Up next, the Doane men will compete in the GPAC Duals at Concordia on November 26 before joining the Tiger women for the Conner/Oppenheim Doane Open on December 7 in Crete.
