WAYNE, Neb. – A stretch of 21 straight points by Northern State pushed the Wolves past Wayne State College at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne on Saturday.

The Wildcats went up by a touch down twice, only to see the Wolves rattle off three straight touchdowns of their own in the second and third quarters.

Wayne State pulled within a touchdown early in the fourth quarter on an 18-yard run by Akeem Knox.

After a trio of defensive stands, Wayne State drove to the Northern State seven-yard-line, but a Nick Bohn incompletion on fourth down as time expired gave the Wolves the victory.

Wayne State falls to 6-4 after suffering its third straight loss. Northern State finishes 6-5 despite starting the season 0-4.
