Rhule bringing in outside help to analyze struggles within offense
LINCOLN, Neb. - Over the last three games, Nebraska's offense ranks 100th in scoring and is averaging just 308 yards per game.
As the Huskers head into their second bye week of the season, Head Coach Matt Rhule is reflecting back on the struggles within the Husker offense, but he isn't doing it alone. The Nebraska Head Coach says he's brought in outside help to decipher some of the issues.
“My job is to consider everything. Part of that is ‘What are the problems? What are the issues?,’ looking at everything," Rhule said. "One of the first things I’m doing this week is, I have a lot of friends in the business, I’ve had some outside people come in and tell me what they see. In my history, that’s one of the best things you can do, have a fresh set of eyes look at it."
Rhule says he's also looking into the struggles the defense has faced, as UCLA put up over 100 yards on the ground in Saturday's Husker 27-20 loss, despite ranking 133rd nationally running the football.
Nebraska returns to action on Nov. 16 when they visit USC. It was announced Monday that Nebraska's contest with the Trojans will kick off at 3:00 p.m. CT on FOX.
