Huskers ready to battle Wisconsin in top 10 showdown
LINCOLN, Neb. - #2 Nebraska is set for another Top 10 Big Ten matchup this Friday as the Huskers travel to Madison to take on #7 Wisconsin.
The Badgers enter at 15-4 with all losses coming to ranked opponents. Wisconsin started the year 1-3, but have since gone 15-1 and are undefeated at home.
"They do everything really well," Nebraska Head Coach John Cook said. "The top programs all do things really well. They have top hitters, a great setter, a great libero... They do everything really well."
Nebraska and Wisconsin split matchups last year, with Huskers winning a five-set thriller in Lincoln, before Wisconsin haded Nebraska its only loss of the regular season, getting swept in Madison.
Sophomore Bergin Reilly faces the Badgers for the third time in her career and says the teams ready for big games, such as this Friday's, because of how the team operates in practice.
"We talk everyday about making everyday like the national championship. Play every game like it's the national championship, treat every practice like it's the national championship," Reilly said. "This is obviously a big game, but every other game is a big game too."
Nebraska and Wisconsin get underway at at 8:00 p.m. CT on Friday night.
