Sport utility vehicle and sedan, collide, slowing traffic

BEATRICE – A collision at noon, Sunday in north Beatrice sent police and fire to the scene.

Two vehicles collided at 6th and Monroe, with the initial call reporting that three persons were possibly injured. 

As it turns out, there was no transport needed for medical care from the scene.  The collision involved a sport utility vehicle and a sedan, with both vehicles coming to rest along the northbound lanes of Sixth Street. 

The accident blocked the intersection for northbound traffic until officials could remove the vehicles.  Southbound traffic was able to move slowly past the scene.

No other details about how the accident happened were immediately available.
