NEW YORK CITY, NY. - A quick trip to New York is checking off a bucket list item for a Beatrice woman.

Traci Garnett-Froscheiser is in New York City on Wednesday to be part of a group ringing the New York Stock Exchange closing bell.

"I am super excited," Froscheiser said. "This is a bucket list item for me, I've always wanted to do it, growing up in this world and being a daughter of someone who's been in finance for almost 50 years."

Froscheiser owns Garnett Investment Strategies in Beatrice, along with her father Paul Garnett. At the firm, she also works as a financial advisor. Froschiser says she was invited by a group called Advantis, who's celebrating five years since being incepted, and will get to ring Wednesday's closing bell with a small reception afterwards.

Froscheiser says she'll only be in New York for a day, making the quick turn around home on Wednesday night.
