BEATRICE – A passenger in one of two vehicles that collided in northeast Kansas, has died.   

Kansas Highway Patrol investigators say the fatal accident happened Wednesday morning, about six miles south of Holton, Kansas.

A 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling east, crossing U.S. Highway 75….and failed to yield to a northbound 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan….causing a crash.

A passenger in the van, 52-year-old Scott Reaka, of Topeka, was killed in the collision. The van’s driver, 26-year-old Allison Lee of Effingham, Kansas was taken to the K-U Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup, a 16-year-old male from Holton was not injured.  The patrol said the collision happened at 11:12 a.m., at the intersection of 190th Road and U.S. Highway 75.
