BEATRICE – A company specializing in exterior preservation has work underway on the east side of the historic Gage County Courthouse.  Masonry Construction is doing the final section of the building’s exterior in a preservation project that has lasted several months.

Earlier, scaffolding was erected on the east side of the courthouse grounds next to the main ground-level entrance to the building, which remains open. This year, the company also did restoration work on the upper part of the building, including the clock tower.

The Gage County Courthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places.
