Search of a home along Market Street seizes drugs, a weapon and drug paraphernalia

BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies and Beatrice Police combined to make three arrests July 12th, following the serving of a search warrant n Beatrice.

Just after noon, Friday….law officers executed the warrant at a home in the fifteen-hundred-block of Market Street….part of an ongoing investigation into methamphetamine distribution authorities say was happening at the home. 

During the search, county and city officers located four individually-wrapped baggies of suspected methamphetamine weighing about 16 grams…seized a 32-caliber handgun, digital scales, marijuana and several items of drug paraphernalia. 

Officers arrested 27-year-old Devon Swoboda, of Beatrice, on suspicion of possession of a firearm during a drug violation, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.  Authorities say Swoboda was barred from possessing firearms because of a past domestic assault conviction.

Also arrested was 33-year-old Ashley Ohnesorge, of Beatrice, for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, aiding and abetting drug distribution, drug possession, maintaining a drug house and child neglect.

Authorities arrested 30-year-old Samantha Buchholz, of Beatrice for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
