Southern High graduate receives scholarship for criminal justice study

BEATRICE - Members of the Gage County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 45, have awarded a $500 scholarship to a 2024 graduate of Southern High School.  Bladen Weiner applied for the scholarship this past year and submitted an award winning essay on criminal justice to the F-O-P.  

Weiner plans to attend Peru State College studying criminal justice. 

The funds for the scholarship were collected through donations from the corrections officers and deputies at the Gage County Sheriff's Office who belong to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 45.

The presentation of the scholarship was made, Friday.
