BEATRICE, NEB. - Calls about, what many believed to be, a submerged vehicle, in the Big Blue River prompted an investigation by Beatrice Fire and Rescue late last week.

According to Beatrice Fire and Rescue, the department received "several concerned calls" about a submerged vehicle in the Big Blue River, just off the W. Court St. Bridge. Upon investigation, the vehicle was deemed to be just a toy - a Power Wheels ride on.
