FAIRBURY, Neb. -- A one-lane road closure with traffic signals will begin south of Fairbury next week.

The construction will begin June 10 on N-8 on the Blue River Bridge, weather permitting.

According to the Nebraska Department of Transportation, traffic will be maintained for this phase of construction by a lane closure and the use of temporary traffic.

The work will include old concrete removal, truck hauling of old and new materials and the placement of new concrete.

Construction will occur on both sides of the traffic driven roadway.

A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect.

NDOT reminds motorists to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up and to put phones down.
