Lincoln Southeast, Norris come out on top, at windy Beatrice Country Club

BEATRICE – Nebraska Class A and Class B golfers had to fight brutally windy conditions during the Beatrice Invitational golf tournament at Beatrice Country Club, Monday.

Lincoln Southeast won the Class A team title with a 321… two shots better than Creighton Prep and Millard North.  Millard North’s Trey Ruge shot a one over round of 73 to win the individual title by three shots over two others. Golfers played in winds gusting to 45-miles-per-hour.  Six golfers broke 80, in the Class A competition among eleven teams.

In Class B, Norris took the team title among 13 teams with a score of 341…four better than Gretna East.  Tied for low individually were Gretna East’s Will Barth, Bennington’s Kale Lamberty and York’s Emmanuel Jensen, each with an 82.

The Beatrice Orangemen finished with a team total of 433….led by Ryker Kunde’s 95.
