Big hail a potential threat, to begin the week

Strong thunderstorms packing large hail could affect southeast, south-central, eastern and central Nebraska

Omaha – Areas of southern and eastern Nebraska could be in for severe weather, early this week, with the main weather threat….large hail.

The National Weather Service says scattered severe thunderstorms are likely across the southern to central Great Plains, mainly into the evening and overnight period.

Forecasters says large to very large hail, damaging wind gusts, and a few tornadoes are possible.

More isolated severe storms are also possible over parts of the Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic with a risk for damaging winds and hail.
