Fairbury Chamber hosting wine and beer tasting festival

FAIRBURY, Neb. -- Southeast Nebraska is inviting people to enjoy a beer and wine tasting festival Saturday. 

The Fairbury Chamber of Commerce is hosting the festival at the Fairbury VFW from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

With paid entry, attendees will have over 30 samples of beer, wine, whisky, and seltzers to choose from. 

The event will also have a DJ and dancing. 

Sharon Priefert, the Event Coordinator, said people from as far as northern Kansas have bought tickets. 

The Chamber has done this for 13 years. They said they do it every year because there is more to try every year. 

“Everybody is always up for trying something new,” Priefert said. “If you came to this in the past, I guarantee it’s going to be a different event again. So, please, try to come out and join us."

Tickets on sale Friday will be $20, with tickets for sale at the door Saturday at $30. 

The cutoff for serving is at 9 p.m.
