Aidan McDowell heading to Fort Hays State University

Aidan McDowell is taking his talents to Fort Hays State University for college basketball.

CRETE, Neb. -- Aidan McDowell is taking his talents to Fort Hays State University for college basketball. 

McDowell led the Crete boys basketball team last season with nearly 20 points per game and was instrumental to its undefeated regular season. 

Crete lost to Skutt Catholic in the state tournament semifinals which ended McDowell’s run early. 

McDowell will be joining a Tigers program that went 23-8 last season with a national tournament appearance. 

McDowell leaves Crete as the school's all time leading scorer.
