BEATRICE – Three persons were injured in a collision south of Beatrice Monday night, at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Nebraska 112.

Gage County Sheriff’s investigators say a 2006 Lexus IS-250 driven by 65-year-old Carlos Ramos, of Lincoln, pulled out in front of a southbound Pontiac G-6, driven by a 17-year-old Blue Springs youth.

Ramos was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by Beatrice Fire and Rescue.  The 17-year-old and her passenger were taken to BCH by family members. Wymore and Blue Springs Fire and Rescue units also responded to the 7:40 p.m. collision.   All of the injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

Sheriff’s officers say Ramos was cited for failure to yield and for having no operator’s license.  Seatbelts were in use, according to deputies.  Both vehicles were totaled in the collision.
