Traffic stop leads to drug charges

Two individuals were booked on multiple drug charges

FAIRBURY, Neb -- On Thursday at 12:30 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department conducted a traffic stop on the corner of 9th and F in Fairbury.  During the stop, the deputy located controlled substances and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.

The driver, 23-year-old Makela Grable of Marysville, Kansas, and passenger, 37-year-old Macon Kaer of Fairbury were taken into custody and booked into the Jefferson County Jail on drug charges. 

According to Jefferson County Sheriff Nicholas Georgi, the case is still under investigation.
