Former Orangemen Tucker Timmerman picks up win in first appearance with Huskers

BEATRICE, NEB - Tucker Timmerman has picked up a win in just one appearance with Husker baseball. 

The freshman from Beatrice entered the ballgame in the seventh inning, lasting an inning and a third before giving way to Casey Daiss who came in for the save. Timmerman was Will Bolt's first call to the pen of the season, relieving Brett Sears after five and a third innings of shutout ball. 

The Huskers topped Baylor 4-1, scoring Timmerman his first win. Friday's victory was Nebraska's first in a season opener in four years.
