Steinmeyer wins Community Service Award at the Fairbury Chamber of Commerce Banquet
FAIRBURY, Neb. -- Fairbury went back to the roaring 20s for this year's Chamber of Commerce Banquet. The night was filled with entertainment about how life was in the 1920’s complete with a silent film about prohibition starring several members of the community. Each year a portion of the live and silent auction items go to an organization or community need.
This year the Chamber board selected the city of Fairbury’s 4th of July fireworks display. Fairbury Mayor Spencer Brown thanked the chamber for the donation and said the fireworks have always been a major part of Fairbury’s 4th of July festivities and will be for years to come. The Fairbury Chamber gave recognition to outgoing board members Morgan Sand and Conner Livingston for their years served, as well as April Stone who served on the board and as president.
The big award went to the Emcee of the night, Trevor Steinmeyer who was recognized with the Community Service award. The presentation talked about the many boards he serves on or has served on including the Chamber, Hospital, Elks, Hoops, Teammates, and Christmas at Crystal. Steinmeyer also volunteers his time coaching youth sports, mentoring as a Teammate, and for the 15th time helping provide the entertainment and serving as the Emcee for the Chamber Banquet.
Steinmeyer is the Operations Manager and Program Director of Ol Red 99-5.
