Award winning vocal group set to perform in Fairbury

FAIRBURY, Neb. -- An award winning vocal group, The Sons, will be coming to Fairbury to perform for the southeastern Nebraska town.

The performance will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27 with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and showtime set for 7 p.m. at the On The Bricks venue in Fairbury. 

“The Sons are from Branson and they have a variety show down there that is somewhat seasonal. So this time of year, they take a little break and travel throughout the Midwest and hit some stops throughout the way. They do several shows up in Minnesota,” said Cody Moyer, The Sons Music Celebration Event Planner. “So, on their way up, they are hitting one in Kansas City and on their way back they're gonna be at our location.”

Moyer said there will be a lot of audience interaction with the group during the show.

You can save a few dollars by purchasing tickets in advance for $15 and purchasing tickets at the door will cost $20. You can also go to On The Bricks facebook page to purchase tickets as well. 

“So, they’re more than just music. They are kind of a variety act where they will have some comedy and stuff too but they’ll do Bluegrass, Country, classic rock, gospel, and a huge repertoire of variety," Moyer said.

The On The Bricks venue has had many events like dueling pianos, country artists, rock and roll bands and even stand up comedy. Moyer said the goal of the venue is to bring cool events for the community to engage with. 

“Well, my big thing is when we opened this venue, we wanted to offer a variety of entertainment for the community and so, these guys offer yet another level of variety," Moyer said. 

Doors will open at 5:30 with the show set to begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be a food truck with Kouzina Street Food.
