Retirement of State Chief Information Officer announced

Gov. Jim Pillen announced on Friday that the State Chief Information Officer was retiring.

NEBRASKA -- Gov. Jim Pillen announced on Friday that the State Chief Information Officer was retiring.

Ed Toner's last day as CIO will be on Feb. 16. The interim CIO will by deputy Mark Neemann until Pillen appoints and new CIO.

The search for a new CIO will begin immediately.

Pillen thanked Toner for his service.
