Kansas sex offender arrested in Beatrice
Gage County law officers say offender was living only blocks from the sheriff's office
BEATRICE – Gage County law officers have arrested a 38-year-old man for an alleged sex offender registry violation.
Wednesday, an investigator and deputy made the arrest of Jeremy Dwain Stewart, for failing to register as a convicted sex offender, since moving to Beatrice in mid-November last year. Stewart was a registered sex offender in Kansas, according to the Sumner County Sheriff’s office.
Law officers received information that he was living as a residence in Beatrice and was also found to be non-compliant in the State of Kansas, for failing to register by the end of 2023.
Deputies located Stewart at a residence in the area of 13th and Lincoln in Beatrice.
Stewart has convictions on felony charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child….involving a 14 and then 15-year-old girl….from 2006 and 2007 in Sumner and Cowley Counties, in Kansas.
