Collision south of Beatrice during snow, injures one

Accident occurred while a winter storm continued through the area

BEATRICE – A two-vehicle collision Monday in an area south of Beatrice that’s seen its share of mishaps in recent months, caused injuries. 

The crash Monday night near U.S. Highway 77 and West Lilac Road less than a mile south of the city sent law enforcement, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Beatrice Rural Fire to the scene just before 5:30 p.m.

The collision happened during snowy weather and traffic was directed slowly through the scene.  Details on how it happened, whether snow and ice factored n the collision….and the identities of those involved are not yet available. 

Beatrice Fire and Rescue Chief Brian Daake says one person was taken by ambulance to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of non-critical injuries.
