Snow Emergency issued for Fairbury

FAIRBURY, Neb --  The Mayor of Fairbury has issued a snow emergency for the City of Fairbury until further notice. 

While the emergency is in effect all parking on emergency snow routes is prohibited and parking is prohibited in the downtown district after two inches of snowfall until the snow is windrowed to the center of the street.

According to the NWS, as of 9:30 AM 4.25" of snow had fallen in the downtown area, with even heavier snow predicted for later in the day.
