Barb Henrichs

Barbara Ann Henrichs passed away November 21, 2023 at Bryan East Campus in Lincoln. Barb was born April 3, 1945 to parents Alfred and Edna Epp at the Lutheran Hospital in Beatrice. She grew up on the family farm west of Blue Springs with her four sisters and one brother. She was baptized April 22 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Beatrice and confirmed there on March 22, 1959. She graduated with the Wymore High School Class of 1963 and married her high school sweetheart, Roger Henrichs, on October 26 of that year.
Joined by their son, Todd, on July 3, 1965, they built a great life on the family farm on PWF Road for six decades.
A partner in the Holstein dairy operation, Barb also worked at Formfit, Southern Public Schools and later at the Gage County Clerk’s office for 24 years, serving on the election board. After retirement, she returned to the courthouse to work in a part-time role for many years.
Barb loved being involved with the Gage County and Nebraska State Fairs, supporting and working alongside Roger in his many years on the fair boards. For the past 13 years, they were part of the State Fair’s Moo Crew leading milking demonstrations several times each day. She was also a big sports fan who cheered especially loud for the Husker volleyball team from her seat at the Coliseum and later Devaney Sports Center.
Just a few weeks ago, Barb and Roger celebrated 60 years of marriage, followed by a trip to Branson. They were charter members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Wymore.
