Pickup runs sign....collides with car in north Beatrice

BEATRICE – A reported stop sign violation led to a two-vehicle crash in north Beatrice, Friday morning.

Police said a southbound pickup, according to witnesses, went through a stop sign, colliding with an eastbound car….at Eleventh and Monroe.Neither driver was seriously hurt in the collision, but both were transported to Beatrice Community Hospital for medical treatment.

Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded to the scene with an ambulance and fire truck.   The collision also knocked down a sign on the southeast corner of the intersection.

The accident happened near an area where fiberoptic installation has been going on.
