Hastings man reportedly shot, killed in Seward County identified

A Hastings man who reportedly died, in an officer-involved shooting in Seward County, has been identified.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A Hastings man reportedly died in an officer-involved shooting in Seward County. 

The Nebraska State Patrol Special Investigations Team said they are now able to positively identify the subject who was shot in an officer-involved shooting. 

The NSP unit also said they were able to provide next of kin notification of the man's death. 

43-year-old Jorge Luis Santana-Ramirez of Hastings, was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene of an officer-involved shooting. 

The shooting took place last week with a Seward County Sheriff's Deputy. 

NSP said the investigation will be delivered to the Lancaster County Attorney in accordance with the grand jury process. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
