BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s officers say they arrested two men Saturday on suspicion of distributing drugs, after having conducted an investigation for several weeks into alleged distribution of methamphetamine by the two Beatrice residents.

The arrests of Tino Rios and Cody Williams were made during a traffic stop near Sixth and Brown Streets, at 8:27 p.m., Saturday.  Rios was driving the vehicle and Williams was a passenger.

A Saline County K-9 brought to the scene indicated the presence of illegal drugs inside the vehicle…and during a search, law officers located 76 grams of suspected methamphetamine inside a backpack they say belonged to Williams.

Deputies arrested Williams for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance….and arrested Rios for aiding and abetting distribution of the drug.
