Lincoln man dead after driving off roadway

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man from Lincoln died after his motorcycle went off the road.

The Lincoln Police Department said officers were sent to the Interstate 80 eastbound off ramp, exit 397, around 4:00 p.m. on Friday for a report of an accident.

Officers said they found a motorcycle had gone off the roadway and the driver was thrown off as well.

According to authorities, the driver was a man from Lincoln and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can contact LPD or Crime Stoppers.
