Lincoln Southwest tops the field in Pius the Tenth Shootout

BEATRICE – Lincoln Southwest rolled to a 14-shot victory in the 14 team Pius the Tenth Girl’s Golf Shootout, at Woodland Hills Golf Course on Tuesday.

Southwest had a team total of 297….14 in front of Omaha Marian.   Lincoln East was another shot back, in third place, followed by Omaha Duchesne…33 shots back of the lead.

The Beatrice Lady Orange finished in 6^th place with a team total of 365.  Beatrice was led by Kiera Paquette with an 87 and Maddie Nielsen, with an 88.  Paige Southwick had a 91….Aubrie Simmons, a round of 101….and Monet Baehr, with a 104.

Individually, Lincoln Southwest’s Eden Larson broke 70……firing a round of 68.  That was five shots in front of three other golfers with rounds of 73…..Fremont’s Ansley Giesselman, Lincoln East’s Elly Honnens and Omaha Marian’s Madison Murnan.

In all, a dozen players broke 80 in the Pius the Tenth Shootout.
