Tecumseh State Correctional Institution inmate found dead

TECUMSEH, Neb. -- An inmate at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution was found dead Tuesday morning.

According to a press release from the Department of Correctional Services 71-year-old Decabooter Williams, was pronounced dead this morning.

The cause of his death is not yet known, but a grand jury will be conducting an investigation into his death, as is procedure. The news release stated Williams was being treated for unspecified medical conditions. 

Williams began serving a sentence on June 14, 2004. He was serving a life sentence for two counts of first-degree murder out of Douglas County.
