Pinpoint Fiber holds open house, cuts ribbon on new Beatrice location

BEATRICE, Neb - A new fiber internet business is open in north Beatrice.

Pinpoint Fiber cut the ribbon on their new highway 77 location Thursday afternoon as they bring fiber internet to Beatrice. Pinpoint's Tom Shoemaker says the work will change fiber operations across the city.

"We're bringing fiber to the home, internet, and phone services to the home," Shoemaker said. "We're completely overbuilding the community with fiber to the home in a partnership with the city."

Pinpoint will begin taking customers in September, but Shoemaker says working with Beatrice city officials, to this point, has gone smoothly.

"So far, the relationship with the city has been really good," Shoemaker said. "We're excited about being in this community, it's a great sized, prospering community and one that's great for us to kick around and make a business case on."
