Homestead NHP to hold a butterfly walk this weekend

The Homestead National Historical Park is hosting a summer event this weekend.

BEATRICE, Neb - The Homestead National Historical Park is hosting a summer event this weekend. 

The park is putting on a butterfly walk this Sunday. The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the Education Center. The walk will be lead by park butterfly expert Jo Langabee and Natural Resources Specialist Jesse Bolli who has already identified over 20 butterfly species in the park prairie this spring and summer. 

Those attending are encouraged to bring water, comfortable clothes for the conditions, and binocluars or a camera with a zoom lens to help with identification.
