BEATRICE – More highway sealing work will be done by the Nebraska Department of Transportation…this time in Pawnee County.
July 17th is the planned start date for the work on Nebraska Highway 50 from Pawnee City north, for just over five miles. State maintenance forces will do the work over a two-day period. Traffic will be maintained and will be reduced to one-lane travel, at times.
Crews have been doing chip-seal maintenance work on Nebraska Highway 4 between Beatrice and Plymouth.
N-D-O-T says July 17th is also the start date for a railroad crossing repair project on U.S. Highway 75, just south of Dawson, in Richardson County. The repair work will be done by the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railway. There will be a marked detour in that area and the work is expected to take two-to-three days.
