State highway maintenance projects continue in SE Nebraska

BEATRICE – More highway sealing work will be done by the Nebraska Department of Transportation…this time in Pawnee County.

July 17^th is the planned start date for the work on Nebraska Highway 50 from Pawnee City north, for just over five miles. State maintenance forces will do the work over a two-day period.  Traffic will be maintained and will be reduced to one-lane travel, at times.

Crews have been doing chip-seal maintenance work on Nebraska Highway 4 between Beatrice and Plymouth.

N-D-O-T says July 17^th is also the start date for a railroad crossing repair project on U.S. Highway 75, just south of Dawson, in Richardson County. The repair work will be done by the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railway.  There will be a marked detour in that area and the work is expected to take two-to-three days.
