Lincoln man sentenced to nine years for child porn charges

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A 45-year-old Lincoln man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for child pornography charges.
The U.S. Attorney said that William Lee Rezac was sentenced on Wednesday to nine years in prison for receiving and distributing child porn.
Rezac will also serve seven years on supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
He will also be required to pay $3,000 which will contribute to funds established for victims of these types of crimes.
Court documents said that in May of 2022, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding images that were shared from an IP address that was registered to Rezac.
The NSP got a residential search warrant and Rezac’s electronics were seized and he admitted to investigators that he possessed child porn.
The subsequent forensic search of Rezac’s electronics identified approximately 50 images and a video of child porn.
This case was investigated by the NSP.
