BEATRICE, Neb. - For nearly 15 years, a Southeast Nebraska car dealership has been a staple of Beatrice’s premier summer celebration and that’s the case, yet again, in 2023.

Twin Rivers is ready for their 14th annual car show and second “Battle of the Brands” on Wednesday night, as one of the first events for Beatrice's 2023 Homestead Days. Salesman Tim Fralin tells NCN says it’s a big night, not only for the dealership, but for all who attend.

“Probably the biggest night of the year here at Twin Rivers,” Fralin said. “We get to bring our customers in, they get to show off their hot rods, we get people who bring their vehicles who may not be our customers, but they bring their stuff.”

The Battle of the Brands features vehicles from Ford, as Twin Rivers recently took over a Ford dealership in Fairbury, and Mopar, the parts and service division of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram. After a successful year one, dealership owner Steve Swarthout discusses why they felt the need to bring it back in 2023, and why the car show has been so successful.

“The true love for Mopar,” Swarthout said. “It’s unique. There was nothing like that. No other car dealerships did a car show, so we were blazing trails there, and giving people what they want.”

The event will have hot dogs, ice cream, corn hole, and bounce houses as well as a live band. As one of the first events of Homestead Days, Swarthout says it means a lot to the dealership, as many employees are Beatrice natives.

“It’s an exciting event. We all grew up here and it really showcases our town,” Swarthout said. “It  brings people rom communities all over and gives us a chance to show what Beatrice is actually all about.”

Registration for the car show begins at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday night, with Homestead Days scheduled from June 21-25
