Highway work near Tecumseh, Crete...to get underway

LINCOLN — Nebraska Department of Transportation officials say several southeast Nebraska road projects are set to get underway soon.

June 19^th  is the planned starting date on Nebraska Highway 50 south of Tecumseh, for about a 12-mile stretch.  Constructors, Inc. of Lincoln will be doing concrete repairs, asphalt overlay, new guardrail, grading, culverts and bridge deck repairs.

Traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers, with temporary traffic signals in place at bridge locations...and a 14-foot width restriction in effect. It's a long-term project.  NDOT says the anticipated completion is the fall 2024.

Weather permitting, a chip seal maintenance project will begin June 21^st  on Nebraska Highway 33, west of Crete.  That is about a nine-mile project with the work expected to take three days. One-lane traffic will be used in that zone. 

NDOT says a chip seal project will also start June 22^nd  on L-76E, near Dorchester....which is about a mile long work zone.  The project is anticipated to take one day.
