Cyclist dies from medical issue near Steele City

A cyclist in southeast Nebraska suffered a fatal medical issue over the weekend.

STEELE CITY, Ne. - A cyclist in southeast Nebraska suffered a fatal medical issue over the weekend. 

Jefferson County officials responded to what was initially thought to be an accident call, but found the cyclist pulled over in a ditch east of Steele City on Highway 8. 

The rider, 64-year-old Marvin Wesley of Beatrice, was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital and a call was made for a helicopter, but the cyclist was pronounced dead before being they could be airlifted.
