LINCOLN — Work on a stretch of U.S. Highway 77...between Beatrice and Lincoln...will soon be getting underway.

Weather permitting, the Nebraska Department of Transportation says work will start Tuesday, May 30th, on U.S. 77, from Princeton north to the junction with Nebraska Highway 33.

Constructors Inc., of Lincoln is the contractor for concrete and asphalt repair, followed by an asphalt overlay and shouldering operations.  NDOT says traffic will be maintained with lane restrictions and temporary lane closures. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect.

The project is expected to be completed in October.  Motorists are being reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
