LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska basketball team finally scored its long-coveted transfer point guard.

The Huskers had pursued several veteran point guards in the transfer portal, finally securing the commitment of Iowa transfer Ahron Ulis.

Ulis has played three seasons at Iowa, with two seasons of eligibility remaining, due to the COVID-19 season in 2020-21.

A Chicago native, Ulis started 27 games for the Hawkeyes last season. He averaged 6.1 points per game while shooting 32 percent from behind the arc.

Ulis scored a career-high 17 points against Michigan State on Jan. 26, hitting eight of his 10 shots against the Spartans.

He joins fellow transfers Brice Williams and Rienk Mast as Husker newcomers during the latest transfer season.
