Firefighters extinguish late night fire in southeast Nebraska

ALEXANDRIA, Neb. -- Firefighters battled a Saturday night blaze in southeast Nebraska.

First responders were called to the scene just north of Alexandria in Thayer County shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The fire was controlled within an hour, according to witnesses on the scene.
