BRADSHAW, Neb. -- A Lincoln man was arrested in York County after a pursuit led to officers finding a missing teen inside the reportedly stolen vehicle.
The Nebraska State Patrol said a trooper saw a Honda Civic speeding on Interstate 80 near Bradshaw, mile marker 345, on Sunday at 8:40 p.m.
Officials said the trooper tried to do a traffic stop on the Civic but the driver did not cooperate and instead sped up to over 100 mph, causing a pursuit.
According to authorities, stop sticks were sent out and forced the Civic to stop near mile marker 383. The driver and front seat passenger reportedly ran away from the vehicle, going into the westbound lanes of I-80.

NSP said the Civic was reportedly stolen and the driver was 27-year-old Edwin Portillo Barrientos, of Lincoln. He was lodged in the York County Jail for driving with a revoked license, flight to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, theft by receiving stolen property $5,000+, and several outstanding warrants.
According to authorities, the passenger that tried to run away was a 17-year-old girl that was reported missing. She was lodged at the Lancaster County Youth Attention Center for an outstanding warrant while the second passenger was released after being cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
