LFR responds to fire in south Lincoln

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire near 14th and D Streets on Sunday at 4:53 p.m.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire near 14th and D Streets on Sunday at 4:53 p.m.

According to LFR, firefighters were called to a fire that started in some grass and leaves. Before the external fire was put out, it burned through the siding of a household and into a crawl space. Both fires were extinguished.

Officials are still searching for potential hot spots.

LFR said evacuation of the household went smoothly. There were no injuries due to the fire.
