Pickup totaled after morning collision with school bus in east Beatrice

A pickup truck is totaled after it collided with a school bus on Thursday morning.

BEATRICE - A pickup truck is totaled after it collided with a school bus on Thursday morning. 

At about 7:52 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a crash at 19th and Monroe St. in east Beatrice. Beatrice Police say an F-350 pickup, headed south, collided with the eastbound bus after the bus ran the stop sign. The pickup was traveling at about 35 MPH.

While medics did care for those on scene, there were no injuries to the 11 kids and two adults on board the bus or the male driver of the pickup. 

Responding to the scene were the Nebraska State Patrol, Beatrice Police Department and Beatrice Fire & Rescue. Nebraska State Patrol and BPD blocked and directed traffic.

Law enforcement was on scene for just over 40 minutes.
