LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Nebraska State Patrol arrested several impaired drivers during both the women's and men's state basketball tournaments.

NSP said 23 people were arrested across the state for driving under the influence during the two weekends of state basketball that took place in Lincoln.

Troopers said they stopped 36 drivers that were reportedly speeding at 100 mph or more. They also reportedly helped 311 drivers.

According to authorities, NSP issued 710 citations for speeding, 22 for open alcohol container, 53 for driving under suspension, 13 for no seat belt, 13 for improper child restraint, and 11 for minor in possession.
